About Bay2Bay Foundation
We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to closing the opportunity gap in K–12 education through free, personalized tutoring and mentorship.
Our Mission
We believe that every child deserves access to high-quality education, regardless of their socioeconomic background or geographic location. Our approach centers on individualized curriculum, flexible session scheduling, and regular check-ins with families to support both academic progress and personal growth.
Our programming is rooted in State Common Core Standards and delivered by trained volunteer tutors who provide instruction in math, science, English, ESL, creative writing, coding, and more.
Our Story
Bay2Bay Foundation was founded in 2024 with a simple but powerful idea: to create a tutoring program that is truly personalized for each student. We recognized that many students, particularly those in underserved communities, lack access to the one-on-one academic support they need to thrive.
Our founders brought over 1,400 hours of hands-on teaching experience in subjects like math, science, English, ESL, creative writing, and coding, as well as deep insight into the U.S. school system. With this foundation, we built an organization that offers individualized curriculum, flexible session scheduling, and regular check-ins with families to support both academic progress and personal growth.
Today, Bay2Bay Foundation serves K–12 students across the country with a growing team of dedicated volunteer tutors and mentors. Our platform connects families with trained volunteers who bring patience, passion, and expertise to every tutoring session.
